More Than A Camp, A Lasting Impact

From the Heart of A Camp CARE Parent:

"My children attended Camp CARE and loved it. Beforehand, my daughter was very reserved. When she returned from camp, she was very excited. It has been a difficult journey for my kids to process their father being in prison. My kids would become very withdrawn when they saw other children with their families, including a father.

When my children returned from camp, they couldn't stop talking about the friends they made, and their excitement from seeing other campers giving their lives to Christ and getting baptized at camp.

My son is more shy and reserved and is not an outdoor person, but Camp CARE changed this. He enjoyed being in nature, taking scenic walks, and being by the lake.

As a mother, I am always around my kids because they both have Sickle Cell. They had attended one camp in the past, a sickle cell camp, but I trusted this new experience (Camp CARE) because of the consistent communication before camp. As their mom, protector, and caregiver, I try my best to let them have safe, fun, and meaningful experiences, and Camp CARE was one of them."
